The State of Design Festival (Victoria, Australia) is calling for expressions of interest from individuals, organisations and businesses for self-initiated public exhibitions, projects, installations, seminars workshops and creative events to be included in the Design for Everyone program 2010.
State of Design will run from 14 to 25 July 2010. The 2010 theme is ‘change by design’.
The Festival is seeking Design for Everyone content that showcases design and the Victorian design industry, and falls within four broad categories of eco-design aimed at the general public:
1. What I Use: Projects and events promoting the understanding of eco-designed products or instigating changed consumer behavior in response to unsustainable products
2. Where I Live: Projects and events promoting the understanding and application of eco- design principles and benefits in homes, workplaces, landscapes and public places
3. Sustainable Business: Content presenting new business models and systems developed to reduce environmental impact and improve business profitability
4. My Community: Content revealing how eco-design can be applied to socially innovative projects that can resolve social, cultural and environmental challenges
Submit your expression of interest online and be part of the Design for Everyone program 2010.
