IDEO has been working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to “develop a toolkit to help NGO’s apply human centered design methodologies to the work they do with small holder farmers”. The toolkit looks quite promising and is appears to be well executed (We have only had time to do a quick browse and haven’t used it). IDE an NGO’s supported by the Gates Foundation collaborated closely with IDEO to develop and field tested it. The Toolkit comes in four parts and three versions. The four parts are Introduction, Hear, Create and Deliver. The three versions are the Design Team version, The Facilitator Version and the Field Research Tools.
