Australia’s newest design initiative; the inaugural 2009 Design Challenge is now open and calling for design teams to come together to generate innovative solutions to the threat of bushfires.
Design teams are invited to research and develop ideas and conceptual designs that address fire prevention and planning; emergency response and mitigation of fire impact; and post-fire regeneration.
The 2009 Design Challenge is supported by Standards Australia, the Australian International Design Awards, the State of Design Festival and the Victorian Government.
