Hub makes Sydneys Train Stations Safer

We’ve all seen the effects of terrorism the global village in the past 10 years, with heightened security in many places leading to a wave of new products and services that cater to making the public feel that little bit safer. The only problem with this approach was that a large amount of these products were pretty ugly. Finally we are starting to see products that not only satisfy our need to feel safer and be protected but also look better than many of their predecessors.

The HUB.20/20 Bin was conceived by HUB Street Equipment in collaboration with the University of Technology Sydney, RailCorp Australia and the NSW Police Force to create a trash receptacles for use within busy public spaces such as Sydney’s busy railway stations. In the process of creating a solution that provides a high level of visual access, to ensure suspicious objects can be detected without obstruction, HUB has also added some much needed style to trash bins.
