World Industrial Design Day 2010 is fast approaching. To celebrate World Industrial Design Day 2010, design students from Icsid Member Schools are put to the challenge to design a poster that illustrates the importance industrial design has in helping humanity. The poster can be a creative illustration or an illustration of the design of a product that captures this yearʼs theme “Industrial Design: Humane solutions for a resilient world”.

The competition is open exclusively to design students enrolled in an Icsid Member School at no fee. Industrial design students are encouraged to collaborate with other design disciplines in entering the competition.

The winning designer will have his/her poster utilised as the official World Industrial Design Day 2010 poster. This entails having the poster exhibited at numerous events throughout the world and in all corresponding online and print media

Entry deadline is 15th April 2010.

How about a poster that highlights the role industrial design has had in helping contribute to climate change.

The amount of bad impacts industrial design has had on the world far outnumber the amount of good impacts it has had.
