This morning (bright and early at 8am), the second Coffee & Connexions networking event was held at the Red Cup Café at 120 Collins Street in Melbourne.
We had a very small group of three (myself included) show up this month (not quite as good as the inaugural turnout).
Much of the discussion was focused on market research methods, the State of Design Festival and electric cars.
Some of the key discussion points included:
- Shai Agassi’s Better Place
- Service models for the proliferation of the electric car across the world.
- Utilising blogging as a platform for market research
- Advertising agencies and their lack of market testing.
- Utilising software in the implementation of electric cars.
Feel free to kick off some further debate or add your 2 cents worth on these issues in the comments.
Thanks to Chris and Ben for being part of the second Design Droplets Coffee & Connexions.
Grab your diaries (or calendars) and mark the 7th of September 2009 (In bright red marker), as due to popular demand Coffee & Connexions* will be having its first evening session, at Manchuria (Level 1, 7 – 9 Waratah Place, Melbourne, Australia). The start time will be 6pm. We look forward to seeing you there.
*This one may not involve Coffee as much as Cocktails (Cocktails & Connexions), so probably best to leave your young ones at home.

Coffee & Connexions is a monthly networking event. The purpose is to connect designers, entrepreneurs & other professionals in order to share experience & ideas over a casual coffee (and in some cases over cocktails).
